History
Mr. Jagath Sumathipala is the chairman of this foundation, with the intention of further expanding the noble philanthropic service carried out the All Ceylon Buddhist Grand Conference, completing the religious “social mission” that he has performed for more than 20 years, and currently holding the position of Deputy President of the World Buddhist Grand Conference. Being a businessman, he generously donated his personal wealth for various religious and social activities because he constantly saw the “suffering tears of man” and because he had the strength to manage a wealth of large donations over the past period.
This foundation was launched with the aim of further expanding that altruistic service. He has a good knowledge of history and archeology and will be able to fulfill a valuable mission in religious, social, and archeology through the Bauddhaloka Foundation.
