As part of the Ārya Sansadaya project of the Youth and Education Committee of the Bauddhaloka Foundation, a two-day residential leadership training programme was conducted on 18 and 19 November 2025 at the National Leadership Development Centre in Embilipitiya. The programme brought together 34 student participants, guided the faculty representatives—Dr. Chinthaka Seram and Ms. Nirmali Ratnayake, responsible for overseeing the Ārya Sansadaya of the Gurukula College, Kelaniya.
From the Bauddhaloka Foundation Youth Committee, Prof. Rangamini Werawatta (Chairperson) and Senior Lecturer Mr. Lahiru Karunanayake also participated, offering mentorship and guidance to the young leaders throughout the camp. During this programme the youth were provided physical training, leadership training, project management training as well as team building and communication skills. A cultural show called “Arya Prathiba 2025” was organized on 18th November evening where the students performed various cultural and entertaining items demonstrating their talents in art, music and public performance.The Director of the National Centre for Leadership Development and the faculty conducted the training successfully and the students are expected to implement a community development project as an outcome of this programme within 03 months with the skills and knowledge they imparted from the training.
