55 ancient palm leaf books belonging to the Daladawatta Maha Viharaya in Wadduwa were conserved and handed over to the temple with the full financial support of the Bauddhaloka Foundation and the technical assistance of the National Library and Documentation Services Board under the patronage of the Chief Incumbent of the Panadura Thotamuna Banda Raigam Korala, Venerable Thalpitiye Chandrathana Sthavirapada Thero and the Director General of the National Library and Documentation Services Board, W. Sunil. The event was held on September 9, 2025, at the Daladawatta Maha Viharaya, Wadduwa, with the participation of Deputy Director Dr. Udaya Cabraal and Deputy Chairman of the Bauddhaloka Foundation, Honorary Professor Praneeth Abhayasundara, and Secretary Panini Wewala.
A catalogue of preserved palm leaf books was presented to the Maha Sangha Ratnaya who was present and a congratulatory message was presented the Chief Incumbent to the Deputy Chairman of the Bauddhaloka Foundation, Honorary Professor Praneeth Abhayasundara.
