A home for a young couple in Mullaitivu district on the 72nd Army Day the Bauddaloka Foundation.

The foundation stone was laid in August to build a home for Lakshikan and Vas, a young couple who are without a permanent residence in Silawatte, under the “Pibidena Mullaitivu” social welfare project centered on Mullaitivu district the Bauddaloka Foundation, and its work was completed on October 10, 2021, in conjunction with the 72nd Sri Lanka Army Day. Mr. Jagath Samuthipala, founder of the Baudhaloka Foundation and honorary chairman of the foundation, donated the house to the beneficiary.

On this occasion, Mrs. Samantha Sumathipala, Director of Baudhaloka Foundation, Prof. Malinga Amarasinghe and other officials of Baudhaloka Foundation, 59th Infantry Division Commander Major General Suriya Bandara, former 5th Commanding Officer of the 24th Battalion Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment Lt. Col. Ruwan Rudrigoo, 24th Battalion Major Sampath Nallaperuma, the current commanding officer of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment, and army officers belonging to the Mullaitivu Security Brigades participated in the ceremony.

The coordination and labor contribution for this project were done the 24th Battalion, Sri Lanka Lion Regiment, based in Mullaitivu Alampil.
