Conservation of historically significant palm-leaf manuscripts at Galle Paramavichithrananda Maha Vihara

A collection of 196 ancient palm-leaf manuscripts held at the Galle Paramavichithrananda Maha Vihara was successfully conserved and returned to the temple, following a project conducted with the full financial support of the Bauddhaloka Foundation and technical assistance from the National Library and Documentation Services Board. The 153rd anniversary of the Panadura War

The 153rd anniversary of the Panadura War was celebrated with great pomp and ceremony at the Panadura Town Hall on August 26. The Chairman of the Bauddhaloka Foundation, Mr. Jagath Sumathipala, and the Secretary of the Foundation, Mr. Panini Wewala, participated in the event, and the Chairman also participated in the prize distribution ceremony.
