Under the Education and Youth Committee of the Bauddhaloka Foundation, the Ārya Saṃsada was established to nurture capable young leaders and guide them in implementing school-based community service projects. The initiative also aims to equip these young leaders with the necessary skills to serve their communities effectively. Through this initiative the youth trained will be implementing a community development project with the skills gained from the training programme.
As a first step in this programme, the Ārya Sansada at Gurukula Vidyalaya, Kelaniya was formally inaugurated on 29 October 2025 at the Sumathi Auditorium.
Mr. Jagath Sumathipala, President of the Bauddhaloka Foundation, Dr. Kusala Fernando, Principal of Gurukula College, officials from the Bauddhaloka Foundation and Academic Staff and students from the Gurukula College participated for this event. The President and the Secretary for the Board of the Gurukula College Arya Sansadaya were nominated the school Principal at this event.
